General description and location
Hostel orange is located on the Wenceslas square, in Prague, in Czech-Republic. It is part of the hostel Mango and hostel Ananas chain. The location of this hostel is very good. It is located very close to the old town and from there, you can walk to all the important city sights. The only thing that could be improved is the recognition of the hostel from outside. We had some problems finding the hostel. When standing in front of it, we still did not notice the hostel entrance. It is located in a small entry of a restaurant. This was a pity. The central train- and bus station is on walking distance from it.

Rooms
The hostel has eight different kind of rooms; 16 bed mixed dorm, 12 bed mixed dorm, 10 bed mixed dorm, 8 bed mixed dorm, 6 bed mixed dorm, 4 bed mixed dorm, double private room, or twin private room. During my stay, I booked a 6-bed mixed dorm with 5 friends. The room was clean, but there were still some belongings (clothes, towels, and shoes) from previous guests. This was a bit weird.. The beds were comfortable and the linen were clean though. The room also had six massive personal lockers. My entire backpack could fit in the locker. This was great!! There was also very good WiFi connection in the room and we could open a window. This was nice! Overall, I was satisfied with the room, I only missed a mirror, table, and seats in the room.

Bathroom
My visits to the bathroom were not love-hate stories. The bathrooms were quite clean and the showers were always hot! This actually surprised me, but a good surprise though! Every floor had a separate toilet and a bathroom with shower and toilet. This was nice. We also got free towels during our stay.

Kitchen and living room
During our stay, we got free breakfast! This was great. It was simple, but good breakfast. Some white bread, jam, meat, cheese, boiled eggs, milk, juice, and thee. Enough for a good start of the day! The kitchen was well equipped. There were many pans, plates, cups, spices, and even some pasta or rice which we could use. We used the kitchen three times to cook dinner. Most of the time we were alone and could cook without waiting. Great! There is a comfortable couch and two tables with some chairs in the kitchen (also the living room). Sometimes during breakfast, it was a bit too crowded and not everybody could sit down. During the day and evening it was fine though. I guess it also had to do with the fact that I stayed during the holiday season…

Reception and luggage room
The staff of the reception was really friendly. They provided us with a lot of useful information about the city. You can also buy some beers and other handy things at the reception. The availability of the luggage room was nice. On our check-out day, we had to take a night bus to Warsaw. We could leave our backpacks in the luggage rooms for free and still use the kitchen and living room during the entire day and evening. This was very hospitable and great service!

Overall, hostel Orange is a very nice hostel to stay. The rooms are big, the kitchen is well-equipped, the location is very good and staff is really friendly.
