5 best adventure travel destinations for 2022

With COVID-19 vaccines now accessible to the public and a better understanding of how to handle new waves of the disease, travel and tourism all over the world is slowly opening up. What’s more is that after almost two years of being in lockdown, people are eager to get out and breathe in some fresh air – but of course, everyone can’t just flock to popular tourist attractions.

Keep reading to find out about some of the best 2022 travel destinations out there!

1. The Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos is one of the few places in the world that managed to contain the COVID-19 pandemic in their region. This is why travel has been open there (with some restrictions) since September 2020!

Of course, you need to be fully vaccinated and test negative for the virus, as well as follow any airport regulations. But once you arrive, you will have the opportunity to go island hopping and enjoy some of the most exotic beaches and ecosystems on earth! Of course, Island hopping isn’t the only option, and you can find out more about beach resorts and hotels on Voyagers Travel.

2. Costa Rica

A country with friendly locals, great weather, and an abundance of jungles and natural scenery, Costa Rica is one of 2022’s prime travel destinations. In addition to the natural wonders the country has to offer, you can do things like hot air ballooning, ziplining, horse riding on the beach, go explore caves, and much, much more.

Serious adventurers can go hike on the 280km long Camino de Costa Rica hiking trail, which packs the best and most challenging of Costa Rica all in a single package. Don’t worry though, there are a lot of attractions for someone who wants to relax more than they want to challenge themselves!

3. Peru

If you want to soak in one of the most beautiful views accessible to travelers on the planet, take a hike to Machu Picchu, a 15th century Inca citadel that was home to an ancient civilization. Today, it offers more than just a look back at how people in the past lived their lives.

In addition to Machu Picchu, Peru has countless beautiful views, the Huacachina sand dunes that are absolutely fun to drive up and down, and amazing rainforests that have animal and plant life that you won’t find anywhere else.

You can do a number of things like parasailing, hiking, and surfing.

4. Brazil

If you’re not sure what kind of adventure you want, head to Brazil – a country with a little something for everyone. Here you will find breathtaking beaches, more rainforests than anywhere else in the country, and the biggest party in the world, called Carnival.

You can enjoy your days on the beach, go exploring the rainforests, go paragliding, and so much more in this country.
