There are some really great ones on this list! I’ve seen “Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants” and “Letters to Juliet” so many times! I also really loved “In Bruges”! I haven’t seen most of these movies though, so I’ll have to add some of them to my list of things to watch!
I hope you will enjoy the others as much as “Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants” and “Letters to Juliet”! =)
I have seen The Shallows just yesterday 🙂 Some of these films I haven’t heard before so have to definitely check them out. Thanks for the list!
Leigh | Campfires & Concierges
What a great list – I’ve pinned these to remember for later. I would add National Lampoon’s Family Vacation to the list…great road trip movie! Oh, and Lost in Translation!
Thanks for the recommendations. Will watch them and save them to include in this list for later! Thanks a lot! =)
lots and lots of movies that I haven’t seen. So glad to have some inspiring travel films to keep me company through our cold winter!
So many movies on this list that I haven’t watched yet! I must add them to my rainy day movie list. Personally, I love Memoirs of a Geisha such beautiful cinematography.
Memoirs of a Geisha is a huge reason why I want to visit Japan. I had such a big smile at The sisterhood of the travelling pants too- hilarious and cheesy but in an endearing way. Lovely idea to inspire travel through films, I’d love to see more of them.
It was for me also one of the reasons to put Japan on my bucketlist! =)
Now that I’ve read your post I remember some names of the movies I saw. The White Masai and The Blue Lagoon. However, I can’t remember the names of other travel films I’ve seen. Generally, I have a problem with my memory :)) DO you have a specific site you follow to watch movies or you just search them on the internet?
Great to hear that you have seen some of the movies that I have mentioned! Well, I use Netflix for older movies and streaming for the newest ones. I am not sure whether to mention this ‘illegal’ source, but you can try to Google watch32. Will work 😉
I have not even heard of many of these movies. I will have to check out a few of them as inspiration for my next road trip or voyage.
So many great movies to see! I also loved the Geisha book, but didn´t know there was a movie! I have to check it out 🙂
Great to hear that you have read the Geisha book. It is a great story and I liked the book even more than the movie! I am curious which one you will like the most. Enjoy watching the movie!
It´s been a long time though, I read it when I was 17 😉
Love Chasing Mavericks..Coolest part is that I actually got to see the Mavericks line up a couple of years back. Crazy big waves! Great list.
Wow, that must have been an amazing experience!
I really need to watch Grand Budapest hotel I’ve been wanting to go there for so long! My favourite travel film is Vicky Christina Barcelona!
I just watched the official trailer of Vicky Christina Barcelona, looks like a nice and dramatic movie haha. Will put it on my ‘to see list’!
