Review Best Western Plus Hotell Hordaheimen- Bergen

The Plus Hotell Hardaheimen is a hotel located in Bergen and which is part of the Best Western hotel chain. During our roundtrip through Norway, we stayed at this hotel for two nights. In this article I will give you some more information about the hotel and how I experienced it.

General description – Best Western
Best Western Hotels & Resorts is already for more than 70 years part of the hospitality industry. The hotel chain has hotels in more than 100 countries and areas worldwide which fits everyone’s wishes and needs. With seven hotel brands, you can chose the one which fits you most. The Hotell Hordaheimen is part of the brand “Best Western Plus”, which has the characteristic stylish and modern.

Location
The location of the BW Plus Hotell Hordaheimen is perfect! Located in a quiet part, but in the middle of the city center of Bergen. From here, you can easily walk towards the shops and the well-known Tyskebryggen. Also the port of Bergen is nearby.

Facilities
The hotel is with 88 rooms a quite small hotel. Therefore, it also doesn’t have many facilities. There is of course a reception where you can check-in and where you can go for all your questions. There also is a place to have breakfast. There are some meeting facilities in the hotel, but that’s everything for the facilities.

Hotel Room
The hotel rooms provided by BW Plus Hotell Hordaheimen are very spacious and equipped with all the facilities you need. The rooms are quite modern and exists out of some comfortable beds. There also is a sitting area and a desk. The bathroom is also fully equipped. The only disadvantage I experiences was the fact that my room was situated on the top floor (on the attic) and during my stay we had around 30 Celsius degrees, which made the room very hot to sleep in.

Restaurant
Like I said before, the hotel only exists out of a area where you can have breakfast. You actually cannot really call it a restaurant. It’s a small area with a small, but good breakfast buffet. It’s not very extensive, but I’ve had a nice breakfast.

Price
You can book this hotel from approximately € 130,- per night; which I think is reasonable. The rooms are definitely worth the price, since they are modern, spacious and well-equipped. The lobby and breakfast room though are more traditional. Furthermore, there are no facilities at all in the hotel, so I can understand when people think the price is too high for one night. You can book this hotel via Booking.com.

Overview
This overview is a summary of the points written above. I’ll give a point from one star until five stars where one star is very bad and five stars is very good.

Location: *****
Room size: ****
Room attributes: ****
Bathroom: ****
Facilities: **
Price-quality: ***

Above you can find how I think about the several subjects regarding the hotel. This hotel is a perfect starting point to explore Bergen. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully equipped with everything you need. Although the hotel doesn’t have any facilities, I didn’t miss it; because everything you needed is nearby. Also the price-quality ratio is fine.

Address: C. Sundts Gate 18, 5004 Bergen, Norway
