Review Granada Luxury Resort in Belek, Turkey

Turkey is well-known for its many, huge all-inclusive resorts with big swimming pools and aqua parks for all ages. In June this year I had the opportunity to visit some of these resorts in and around the places Belek and Side. Besides visiting the resorts, I also stayed at two of them. I never stayed at an all-inclusive resort to be honest, because normally I’m not that kind of a traveller, but this time I went for work and experienced this new trip. The first few nights I stayed in Belek: Granada Luxury Resort to be exact. In this review I’ll tell you some more about this resort.

General description
Granada Luxury in Belek has just opened her doors and you can definitely see this when you’re entering the hotel. It opened in March this year, so everything is still very new. Granada Luxury counts a total of 872 rooms in one building, distributed over six floors.

Location
The hotel is located approximately 500 meters from the centre of Belek. Belek doesn’t have a very large centre, but consists out of many golf courses. People who are a fan of golf can amuse themselves very well in Belek. Furthermore, the hotel is located around 1,7 kilometres from a private beach. Although Granada Luxury is not that close to the beach, the hotel does offer a free shuttle service to the beach in summer time.

Facilities
The area where you can find Granada Luxury is very huge! The hotel features some swimming pools, which also have an aqua park with slides for all ages. The hotel also offers a laundry service, shops, a doctor service, a hair dresser and room service. For the children, there is a mini club for the ages 4 until 12 years, a teenage club for the ages 13 until 17 years, a mini disco, a playground, a game room and a babysit service.

Next to the facilities mentioned above, Granada Luxury also offers facilities to sport. You can fitness, aerobics, dart and play tennis for free. Billiards, bowling and water sports at the beach are against payment.

There also is a animation program each day, which differs per day. There is no way you can be bored at this resort.

Hotel room
There are several room types. During my trip, I stayed at a standard room (which was already very luxe and big!). The standard room has two beds and is suitable for a family with two children. All rooms are spacious, modern equipped and exists out of air conditioning, television, telephone, minibar, a safe, coffee- and tea facilities, free Wi-Fi and a balcony with seat. The bathroom consists out of a shower, toilet and hairdryer.

Next to a standard room, you can also chose for a family room, a suite villa or a deluxe family room. The standard family room is suitable for a maximum of four adults and one child. This room consists out of two separate spaces. The suite villa can be compared with the family room, but is a little bit more spacious and has a view on the swimming pool, instead of a land view. The deluxe family room are even more bigger and is suitable for a maximum of five adults.

Restaurants and bar
The main restaurant of the hotel, where you can have dinner and breakfast, is the buffet restaurant. Furthermore, Granada Luxury also has three à-la-carte restaurants where you need to reserve beforehand. The hotel also has several bars where you can enjoy a drink.

All-inclusive concept
Granada Luxury offers Ultra All Inclusive, what means that everything is all inclusive! The following rules and times are applicable to Granada Luxury: breakfast (07.00 – 10.00), late breakfast (10.00 – 11.00), lunch (12.30 – 14.00) and dinner (19.00 – 21.30). Several snacks (12.00 – 16.00), coffee/tea and cookies (10.00 – 22.00) and late night snack (23.30 – 02.00). All alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, selected by the hotel, and some import drinks (10.00 – 00.00). Agains payment: other import drinks, dinner in one of the à-la-carte restaurants, room service, drinks in bottles, the Vitamin Bar and fresh fruit juices.

Price
Because the hotel is still very new, they have to set up an image and become well-known for the tourists. That’s why the hotel is still very affordable for the service and quality you get in return. I’m not sure in what way the prices may change when the hotel gets more well-known and more popular, but in my opinion I think the prices are reasonable. You can book this hotel via Booking.com.

Like you can see above, the resort is just perfect. It has great dishes, nice and big rooms, many facilities and the price, compared to the quality, is good. The only disadvantage, in my opinion, is the fact that Belek has not a really nice centre and the resort is not at walking distance from the beach.

Tip: if you’re planning on going to Granada Luxury or Belek: The Land of Legends is such a great aqua park and also still very new. Definitely worth a visit!
