Hotel Review: Hotel Ibis Esch Belval*** – Luxembourg
A few weeks ago, I was travelling around Luxembourg to visit several Christmas markets. I payed a visit to Trier in Germany, Metz in France and Luxembourg City. A perfect place to stay, located in the middle of these three cities, is the Hotel Ibis Esch Belval. This hotel is located in the place Esch-sur-Alzette. Although this place isn’t called a city, there are enough things to do directly in the neighborhood of the hotel. In this article I will tell you some more about this Ibis hotel.

General description – Ibis
The Ibis hotel chain is part of the Accor Hotels. There are several points where this chain stands for:
– “Your sleep is our priority” – the rooms and beds are as cosy as can be
– “Eat & Drink 24 hours a day” – getting hungry? Grab a snack at the bar, 24-hours a day. Eat as and when you like in the Ibis kitchen
– “Service 24/7” – the Ibis staff is ready to help 24 hours a day, whatever you need
– “Mission 15’” – something worrying about your stay? Smile Team to the rescue: they’re on hand 24/7 to make you smile again in 15 minutes flat
– “Breakfast from 4 a.m. to midday” – rise early or lie in and enjoy their generous and varied breakfast
– “Free Wi-Fi” – Stay connected throughout your stay

Location
Hotel Ibis Esch Belval isn’t located in a big city, but the truth is: it’s located in an upcoming area in Luxembourg. There is a shopping mall right across the street, same as several restaurants. Besides, the hotel is located close to several larger cities which you can easily reach. It’s absolutely perfect when you have your own car with you and would like to visit several places. It’s also perfect for the people who’re travelling around and would like to stay for just one or two nights.
Facilities
The hotel doesn’t offer many facilities. When you arrive, you’ll see the reception and at your right you can find the bar and the breakfast area. It’s quite small, but that also gives a nice atmosphere. The rest of the hotel feature rooms. If you don’t need much, this would be a good option.
Hotel Room
HThe room I stayed at was very modern and clean, which I loved about it. However, the room was quite small. Especially the bathroom was very small, but had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable and there was a small sitting area at the end of the room. Shortly, the room was perfect for a few nights.
Breakfast
We also enjoyed breakfast in the hotel during the morning. The breakfast is served in buffet style and serves all the things you would like to eat in the morning. The buffet wasn’t very extensive, but I enjoyed it.
Price
The price for this hotel (for two persons) is around € 80,- per night excluding breakfast. If you would like to book breakfast beforehand, than it costs around € 105,- per night. There’s only one room type you can book, with separated beds or one bed. In my opinion, this price is very reasonable. The hotel is quite simple, but modern, fresh and has everything you need. For a 3* hotel I think the price-quality ratio is good. If you’d like to book a room, you can simply do this through Booking.com.
Overview
This overview is a summary of the point written above. I’ll give a point from one star until five stars where one star is very bad and five stars is very good.
Location: ****
Room size: ***
Room attributes: ***
Bathroom: **
Facilities: ***
Price-quality: ****
Like you can see, I find the location and the price-quality ratio very good. The rooms are very small, but modern and clean. They have everything you need, so it’s a perfect place to stay at for a few nights. I would recommend this hotel if you would like to visit places nearby or if you are travelling further and would like to stay one night as a stopover.
