Hotel review: Kanale’s Rooms & Suites**** at Paros
If you’re planning a trip to the Cyclades, a Greek island group in the Aegean Sea which belongs to Greece, and would like to pay a visit to the beautiful island Paros, it’s good to look into the possibilities of places where you can stay. Parikia probably is the biggest place on the island and is very lively, but my personal favorite place to stay is Naoussa: a small town at a driving distance of 20-30 minutes from Parikia with lots of nice restaurants, shops, cafés and a cosy atmosphere. Naoussa has a little of everything and that’s what I loved of this town.
During my time on Paros, I stayed at Kanale’s Rooms & Suites, a typical Cycladic accommodation. In this article I’ll tell you more about my experiences during my stay.

Kanale’s Rooms & Suites
Kanale’s Rooms & Suites is a small boutique hotel located in Naoussa, with around a 10-minute walk to the town center. The building is beautiful, as it’s built in the typical Cycladic architecture, but also features modern design in the hotel. Just outside of the hotel, you can find Piperi beach: a nice beach where you can have a relaxing afternoon (and which isn’t that crowded).
The hotel features 34 rooms & suites: most of the rooms and suites consist out of a private balcony which overlooks the town of Naoussa and the sea. There are four types of rooms: standard, classic, superior design and superior balcony. Furthermore, there are three types of suites: junior, the maisonette and the penthouse. All rooms and suites look very new and are perfectly clean. We stayed at a classic room and we were very happy with it. The balcony provided views partially over sea, which I loved.
You can find the restaurant and its beautiful terrace at the highest floor, where you can enjoy the most beautiful views over the town and sea during breakfast. The breakfast is delicious and provides many choices to eat and drink. Besides, you’ll get some fresh coffee together with some freshly fried egg if you wish. In my opinion, the breakfast buffet was perfect.
You can also eat something at the restaurant or drink a self-made cocktail. We didn’t make use of these services because we went into town during the evening to eat and drink something.
Besides the restaurant, you can also find a swimming pool in the middle of all the rooms. If you would like to have a relaxing day, the swimming pool is the right place to be. Kanale’s also offer sun beds at the pool.
In my opinion, the service of the employees was very good and personal. They were very hospitable and helped us, for example, with the luggage bringing up the stairs (as there is no elevator).
The “per night price” of Kanale’s Rooms & Suites is a little higher than I’m used to, but it was worth it. The classic room costs around € 200,- per night (including breakfast), which provides you a clean and modern room with good facilities and a nice location. Personally I think the price-quality ratio is good.
If you’re looking for a beautiful Cycladic accommodation in Naoussa, this might be a good choice. I would definitely recommend this boutique hotel.
