Some photos of Sanur, a beach town located at the south-east side of Bali. It has a five-kilometre-long sandy beach with reef-sheltered waters, a wide range of (western) restaurants and (budget) accommodation, tourist shops, and little traffic. Sanur is a perfect base to make day trips to other towns in Bali, like Ubud, Kuta, or the neighbour island Nusa Lembongan.

A little outside Sanur, you can find the impressive ‘Bajra Sandhi Monument’ in Denpasar, that is definitely worth a visit. Inside the building you can learn about the Balinese war history, and when you take the stairs to the top of the building, the amazing view of Denpasar and Sanur will impress you.

Despite the crowd, Kuta beach is long and you can find a good and quiet spot. You can enjoy the sun set down, see some surfers, peddlers, and visitors.
Dreamland beach is a must visit to see the sunset! This beach is located more south of the Island and will provide you with a clear sunset. Make sure to bring a flash light, since the way down (and especially up after sunset) is not so easy.
