One of the best hotels in Paros, Greece: Kanale’s Rooms & Suites****

If you’re planning a trip to the Cyclades, a Greek island group in the Aegean Sea, and would like to pay a visit to the beautiful island Paros, it’s good to look into the possibilities of places where you can stay. Parikia probably is the biggest place on the island and is very lively, but my personal favorite, place to stay is Naoussa. It’s a small town at a driving distance of 20-30 minutes from Parikia with lots of nice restaurants, shops, cafés and a cosy atmosphere. Naoussa has a little of everything and that’s what I loved of this town.

During my time on Paros, I stayed in one of the best hotels in Paros: Kanale’s Rooms & Suites, a typical Cycladic accommodation. In this article I’ll tell you more about my experiences during my stay.

Kanale’s Rooms & Suites

Kanale’s Rooms & Suites is a small boutique hotel located in Naoussa, with around a 10-minute walk to the town center. The building is beautiful, as it is built in the typical Cycladic architecture, but also features modern design in the hotel. Just outside of the hotel, you can find Piperi beach: a nice beach where you can have a relaxing afternoon (and which isn’t that crowded).

The hotel features 34 rooms & suites. Most of the rooms and suites consist out of a private balcony that overlooks the town of Naoussa and the sea. There are four types of rooms: standard, classic, superior design and superior balcony. Furthermore, there are three types of suites: junior, the maisonette and the penthouse. All rooms and suites look very new and are perfectly clean. We stayed at a classic room and we were very happy with it. The balcony provided views partially over sea, which I loved.

Kanale’s facilities

You can find the restaurant and its beautiful terrace at the highest floor, where you can enjoy the most beautiful views over the town and sea during breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and provided many choices to eat and drink.

You can also eat something at the restaurant or drink a home-made cocktail. We didn’t make use of these services, because we went into town during the evening to eat and drink something.

Besides the restaurant, you can also find a swimming pool in the middle of all the rooms. If you would like to have a relaxing day, the swimming pool is the right place to be. Kanale’s also offer sun beds at the pool.

Kanale’s staff

In my opinion, the service of the employees was very good and personal. They were very hospitable and helped us, for example, with the luggage bringing up the stairs (as there is no elevator).

Price-quality ratio

The “per night price” of Kanale’s Rooms & Suites is a little higher than I’m used to, but it was worth it. The classic room costs around € 200,- per night (including breakfast), which provides you a clean and modern room with good facilities and a nice location. Personally I think the price-quality ratio is good.

Conclusion

In brief, for an unforgettable stay in one of the best hotels in Paros, I recommend Naoussa as the ideal base. During my visit, I enjoyed Kanale’s Rooms & Suites, a boutique hotel just a short walk from the town center.

Kanale’s offers a variety of well-appointed rooms and suites with a charming blend of traditional Cycladic style and modern design. The rooftop restaurant serves a delightful breakfast with stunning views of the town and sea, and a pool area provides relaxation.

The attentive staff ensures a pleasant stay, and although the rates, around €200 per night for a classic room with breakfast, are slightly higher, the quality and location make it a worthwhile choice for your Paros adventure.
