Review Naxos Resort Beach Hotel*** – Naxos Island
The Greek island Naxos is the biggest and most fertile island of the Cyclades. It’s very diverse, as you can find lots of green, mountainous landscapes on the island, along with beautiful beaches and typical Greek towns. Naxos-city, also known as Chora, is the biggest town and also the place where we stayed during our time on Naxos. At the Naxos Resort Beach Hotel to be exact. I’d like to tell you some more about the accommodation in this post.
Would you like to get more inspiration for a trip to Naxos? You can find a guide I’ve written about the island by clicking here.
General information
Although the resort is called a hotel, it more looks like a small ‘holiday park’, which I really liked. Rooms are divided all around the area of the accommodation, which creates a nice atmosphere.
As an introduction to the accommodation and quoted from the website as follows: “Naxos Resort Beach Hotel was designed in style and built with passion and thinking. Insular and Venetian architecture with touches of blue sky and sea view dominate in Naxos giving it to Glamour, the Luxury and the Nobility of a Cycladic painting.”

Location
Naxos Resort Beach Hotel has an ideal location which is a perfect starting point for exploring the island. You can walk towards the boulevard of Naxos-city in approximately 10 minutes and the beach of Saint George is just around the corner. On your way to the boulevard, you come across several shops and restaurants. You don’t have to go far to have a really nice, Greek dinner.
Naxos-city is a lively town where you can find many accommodations. If you’re more into small scale hotels and away from the crowds, it’s recommended to have a look at other towns around Naxos, as there are some nice possibilities for that too!
By visiting Naxos, you normally take the ferry boat towards another island after your stay (and you arrive on the island by ferry boat). The port of Naxos can also be found in Naxos-city.
The rooms
The accommodation has a total of 88 rooms, categorized in different room types:
- Standard Room: for this room type, you can chose a room with garden view or with pool or sea view. This room is suitable for two persons.
- Triple Room: also for the triple room you can chose a room with garden view or with pool or sea view. The triple rooms are a little bigger than the standard rooms and are suitable for three persons.
- Family Room: the family rooms only have garden view and are suitable for four persons. There are either four beds in the room or there’s a separated bedroom with a bunk bed.
- Superior Room: this room type only has sea view. The room is suitable for two persons and compared to the other rooms, the superior room is equipped more modernly.
During my time at the Naxos Resort Beach Hotel, I stayed in a standard room. Although I really like the accommodation in general, I didn’t really like our room unfortunately. It had most facilities we needed during our stay and the room was clean, but it also was quite outdated. Especially the bathroom. I needed to hold the shower head during my shower for example, as I couldn’t hang it up. I personally found that our room (and may be also other rooms) could use an update.
Restaurant
There’s a restaurant in the hotel where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet is very diverse and has something for everyone. At the pool of the hotel you can also find a bar where you can get delicious drinks. I’ve had lunch ones at the hotel and that was good too.

Facilities
Like said in the previous paragraph, the hotel has a pool (together with a small jaxuzzi) where you can spend some time at. Take into account that there aren’t many sunbeds/pool umbrellas and people are rushing to be there first thing in the morning so they still have a sunbed (ugh…). You can also get some pool towels at the swimming pool.
Next to the pool, the hotel also offers a fitness center, laundry services and a conference room. On the website of the hotel you can read that there’s a hair salon / beauty services and more, but that’s not completely true. I think they mean that they’re providing the service on advising guests where to go to.
Service
The staff of Naxos Resort Beach Hotel is very friendly and hospitable. At arrival, we had a nice welcome and they helped us with bringing our suitcases to the room. The employee showed us our room. At the reception, the employees are happy to help you with anything. We wanted to get a manicure, so we went to the reception to ask for some recommendations. The girl on the reception helped us very well and called a beauty salon in Naxos-city to make an appointment for us. Really nice!
Price
Of course it also depends on when you’d like to go, but staying a night in a standard room with garden view, for two persons and including breakfast, costs around € 140,-. I’m not sure if I think the price-quality ratio is good. Personally, I think the price is quite high for the quality you get in return. And I say this mostly because of the room which was outdated. If they’re in the possibility to renovate the rooms, I think the price is more suitable. Apart from the room, I think the rest of our stay was great though. If you would like to book this accommodation, you can book it through Booking.com.
Overview
This overview is a summary of the points written above. I’ll give a point from one star until five stars from where one star is very bad and five stars is very good.

If it’s not a problem for you when a hotel (their rooms) is a little outdated, I would definitely recommend Naxos Resort Beach Hotel: the location is perfect, the atmosphere is really nice and the staff is very friendly. If you’re a traveler who loves a little comfort/luxury, I would wait with staying at the hotel until the rooms are updated.
Address: Chora, Saint George Beach, Naxos Island 84 300
