Staying at Agriturismo Le Bosche in San Marino

San Marino is a mini state surrounded by Italy. During my time in Italy, I made a little roundtrip where we drove from Bologna to the coast (Sirolo), to San Marino and back to Bologna. We wanted to stay in unique accommodations and found Agriturismo Le Bosche during our search to these accommodations. An Agriturismo is a small accommodation (can be compared with a B&B) located at a quiet and beautiful place from which the owners produce something; for example wine or vegetables. In this article I’ll tell you some more about my stay at Agriturismo Le Bosche.

Would you like to read more about my experiences during the roundtrip? You can find an article where I wrote about it by clicking here.

Agriturismo Le Bosche is located at the border of San Marino and Italy. To the city of San Marino it’s a 20-minute drive, but you can also easily reach Rimini in Italy in 30 minutes by car. The accommodation has a very accessible location, but is also located in a quiet environment. It’s the perfect place for ultimate relaxation! Besides, the accommodation offers some beautiful views over the vineyards and olive trees.

Agriturismo Le Bosche features four double rooms, a family room and two suites. Each room has the name of one of the wines the accommodation produce, so that’s a nice detail. The suites feature two floors, but also a kitchen and a jacuzzi. The family room has two connecting rooms with a shared bathroom and can accommodate up to four people.

We stayed at a double room. The double rooms each has a private bathroom and its own entrance from outside. You can enjoy the weather and a drink on your terrace from which each room has one. I found the room very spacious, clean and I really enjoyed my stay.

The host (also the owner) is very kind and hospitable. He shows you the room, surroundings and would help you with anything to make it a pleasant stay. The host also was our cook for the evening and he cooked absolutely delicious! He served us some home made pasta and I think it was the best pasta bolognaise I’ve ever had! We enjoyed a nice dinner together with a nice glass of wine. It’s absolutely recommended to have dinner at the Agriturismo.

The breakfast buffet wasn’t that extensive but it had everything you needed for a delicious breakfast. We enjoyed our breakfast outside, in the sunshine, on the terrace of the Agriturismo itself.

Besides a small restaurant, there’s also a swimming pool which is open during summer time (we were in San Marino in March, so the swimming pool wasn’t open yet). Furthermore, there aren’t many facilities at the accommodation, but the host is happy to help you with finding a facility in the environment. At the Agriturismo, you can buy wine and olive oil, as these are products that the hosts produces themselves.

If you would like to stay at Agriturismo Le Bosche, you can book it through Booking.com. We paid around € 80,- for our stay (one night, breakfast included), but it may be a little more expensive during high season (July – August). I think it’s definitely a good price-quality ratio!

When you are planning a trip to San Marino, it’s definitely recommended to stay in an agriturismo and especially Le Bosche is a really nice accommodation. Have you ever been to San Marino or have you ever stayed in an agriturismo before?
