Staying at Hotel Titania**** – Athens

There are many, many accommodations options when it comes to big and well-known cities. Athens is one of them: there is something for everyone. In this article I’d like to share my experiences during my stay at the Titania Hotel with you, which is a modern four stay hotel.

Titania Hotel

When you arrive at Hotel Titania, the building already looks beautiful. Walking into the lobby area, fully decorated with the famous “Pentelikon” marble and mosaics with themes from the Ancient Greek history, absolutely is a warm welcome! The receptionists are very friendly and are happy to help you with whatever you need.

The location of the hotel is perfect. In, around, 15 minutes walking distance you arrive in the city center of Athens with all the liveliness, shops and restaurants. However, in the direct environment of the hotel you can also find some shops and restaurants, so you don’t have to go far to enjoy a nice evening. If you would like to go to the famous Acropolis, this is a little bit further: you walk toward the Acropolis in, approximately, 25 minutes.

It’s quite a big hotel so there are many rooms (I cannot find the exact amount of rooms). There are several room types you can chose of:
– Superior room: suitable for a maximum of two people
– Executive room: suitable for a maximum of three people and these rooms have a balcony
– Family room: suitable for a maximum of five people (four adults) with two separated bedrooms
– Junior Suite: suitable for a maximum of four people and these rooms have a balcony and a spacious living area
– Deluxe Suite: suitable for a maximum of four people and very spacious. These rooms have a magnificent panoramic view to the Acropolis and also have a jacuzzi

The rooms are very modern, clean and nicely equipped. The sizes of the rooms are good, same as the bathrooms. You can find anything you need at the hotel room. I stayed at a Superior Room, which I really enjoyed staying in during the two nights I stayed at Hotel Titania.

If you’re looking for specific facilities, Hotel Titania has several facilities you can make use of. There is a business center for meetings, there is a fitness room for training and there is a massage parlor for ultimate relaxation. Furthermore, you can make use of services like laundry service, car hire or airport transfer service. The hotel also has an underground parking garage where you can park your (rental)car against a fee of €8,- per 24 hours.

Talking about facilities.. we should not forget the restaurants. Because in my opinion, the rooftop restaurant and bar (also known as Olive Garden) is thé USP (Unique Selling Point) of Hotel Titania. It’s so amazing to have dinner (or breakfast) on the rooftop of the hotel, while you can look at a stunning view on the Acropolis. Also, having dinner at Olive Garden is a good idea as the food is delicious and the staff are is very hospitable. Same counts for breakfast, which is also delicious and served at the rooftop.

If you’re looking for another meeting place where you can have lunch or a drink, then the lobby area would be a nice idea. It’s not as atmospheric as Olive Garden, but you can enjoy a nice meal or drink.

If you would like to stay at Hotel Titania, the price per night (staying at a Superior Room, including breakfast) will be around € 120,- for two persons. Not the cheapest accommodation, but definitely a very good price-quality ratio. Of course there also is a possibility to book the room without breakfast, so you can go and have breakfast somewhere around the city.

In short, I find my stay at Hotel Titania very pleasant and can definitely recommend this accommodation to people who’re looking for a comfortable hotel which is close to the city center.
